CAMEROONIAN AFRO POP ARTIST, MOKAMBE, TAKES GOSPEL MUSIC UP A NOTCH, RELEASES HIT SINGLE “FEELING ME”

Native of Mbonge Sub Division in the South West Region of Cameroon, Omaka Bake Mokambe is one of Cameroons amazing recording artists to hit the music arena with the release of his maxi single, “Feeling Me”, on May 7, 2016. The Detroit, Michigan based gospel afro pop artiste says he has nursed an unquenchable passion for music since his secondary school days, singing and playing instruments in his local church back in Cameroon. However, he decided to take it up a notch when he started writing his first official track in 2015. Produced by Slim Beats, award winning CEO of Best Music record label, Mokambe describe “Feeling Me” as a song of gratitude that “speaks of the goodness of God in our lives”, and urges everyone to dance for him (God), the best way they can. The 3 minutes and 38 seconds track features KIFLEX, another Detroiter, and upcoming talent from the North West Region of Cameroon. Only a week after its release, “Feeling Me” was the hit song at the Ngwefuni Fashion official launch party in Bowie, Maryland on May 13. Other appearances so far were at the inaugural of the African Awards of Washington DC, (AWA 2016) on May 14, and the Grand Opening anniversary for one of Maryland’s finest Cameroonian and African bistros, Five Sisters, on May 29. Mokambe has also been booked to give a cruise performance at Royals Annual Boat Party on board the legendary “Detroit Princess”, on July 2, 2016, and the singer says negotiations are underway for more gigs in the weeks ahead.

The singer further admits that although he is open for collabos, but as of right now, he is focused on completing my individual tracks, including “Past Life” and “One Nation”. He also looks forward to embark on a robust media campaign, geared towards projecting his music career on the home front in Cameroon. Besides music, Mokambe is a nurse. He says in his spare time, he loves to spend quality time with family, as well as participate in church activities. Mokambe is also known for his engagement in activities of the Cameroon community in Michigan, particularly his role as the coach of their soccer team. Omaka Bake Mokambe is happily married, having tied the knot with the pretty Aurelie Kamara on January 9, 2016.
