Steven’s Music Ent. announces the release of “Compliqué” a new single from one of their star artists, EWUBE. One year after joining SME, Ewube is poised to continue putting out material that’s exciting yet grounded in the realities of her community. Her debut EP “Renaissance”, showed her versatility and positioned her as a growing force within the Cameroon music scene.
Always with a message to her music, Ewube has established herself as a true motivational singer within her contemporaries. “Compliqué continues in the same lane, a song about being hopeful despite the odds. You can feel her positive energy in her delivery on an otherwise dark topic. During this tough time, when we are dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, and a world in turmoil over political and racial tensions, “Compliqué” paints a picture that exposes the experience of many navigating through a difficult world.
While discussing the track, Ewube says “…life’s complicated, but you have to power on… be encouraged by the success of others and a strong believe in your own abilities… it gets better with time…”
Ace producer Mageek Feengaz, provided the music to accompany Ewube on the track. He complements her high vocals with some deep base, lead guitars and an infectious piano melody. The result is a song that is easy on the ears and easy to move to.
The artsy videos Ewube has put out recently has added some anticipation towards her next video from her fans. “Compliqué” video is shot by Dr Nkeng Stephens and was filmed in Douala. The video is another really creative piece from the Doctor and Ewube is hoping “… everyone gets to love it, relate to the story and be inspired by the message”
